CARBON CREDITS
Carbon credits are tradable certificates that represent the reduction of one ton of carbon dioxide (CO₂) or its equivalent in greenhouse gases. They provide developing countries with an excellent way to finance climate-friendly projects, turning emission reductions into economic value while attracting investment and supporting local development.
We contribute to this opportunity through clean cooking initiatives that improve daily life and generate measurable carbon credits. To date, we have implemented and monitored over 5,000 improved cookstoves in six villages in the Morogoro region, positively impacting the lives of more than 30,000 people in Kilombero and Malinyi districts. By replacing traditional stoves with efficient technologies, we reduce fuel use, cut emissions, and create verifiable carbon credits that benefit both communities and the environment.
In areas such as Kilindoni, Mafia, and Kibaha, Pwani, we introduce sustainable cooking solutions together with training and awareness programs, empowering households and businesses to adopt healthier, more affordable, and environmentally friendly practices. Through household assessments, we ensure long-term impact, reliable data for carbon credit verification, and continuous technology improvements—helping communities achieve cleaner kitchens, healthier environments, and economic empowerment, while contributing to global climate goals.
